Profile: Eric and Lisl
“Children are a beautiful gift, and we would love to welcome another child into our home. We can provide a loving, stable family for your baby. We pledge to teach this child to be a generous, loving person.”
Thank you for choosing life for the precious baby you are carrying. We would love to be the loving, stable family you choose for your baby. The Lord has blessed us with three beautiful children, and we would be honored to welcome another child into our family.
Meet Eric and Lisl
Our names are Eric and Lisl. We met at a Christian Student Fellowship at Indiana State University in the Fall of 2000. We began dating in February 2001. We went to campus ministry events and church together, spent time with friends, and went on dates. We have been together for over 17 years, and we have been married nearly 14 of them. There aren't many people who know one without the other, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
Eric graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Indiana State University. He went on to get his Doctor of Osteopathic at the Medical School of Medicine and Biosciences as a Family Physician. Eric later went on to work in the Navy for ten years. He currently works as a Family Physcian and was promoted as the Express Care Director (lead doctor of his location).
Lisl attended college at Indiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She worked in their children's school system as a substitute teacher. She now is a stay at home mother. Both Eric and Lisl look forward to adopting a child and providing them with a loving and stable home.
ERIC ON LISL
Many people have said Lisl has an effervescent personality. She is positive and encouraging. Lisl loves children and learning which led her to persue a degree in elementary education, and she taught until we had children. We both feel it is important for Lisl to stay home with our children while they are in their formative years; Lisl looks forward to staying home with the baby we adopt as well.
LISL ON ERIC
Eric is a family physician with a stable patient panel. He is a loving, patient, faithful, understanding father and husband. Our older son says he looks to Eric for encouragement, wisdom, guidance, and fun. Eric is intentional about spending quality time with each of our children whether it is wrestling with the boys, dancing with Rachel in the kitchen, or taking Rachel to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance.
ERIC and LISL'S FAMILY
Eric's parents live in Brazil, IN. Eric has one older brother, Thomas, and two younger siblings, Tyler and Heather. All of his siblings are married and have children. Lisl's father and step mother live in Beech Grove, IN. Her mother passed away in 2004. Both of their parents are eager to join them in supporting their children's activities as much as possible. They enjoy getting together for holidays and birthdays as well as other times throughout the year.
Our home is a two-story home. The upper level has 3 bedrooms. Their fourth child will share a room, depending on the gender, with one of his or her brother's or sister. Their house has lots of space for everything the baby will need!
Eric and Lisl regularly spend time with family and friends from their community. They have a supportive group of people surrounding them.
Eric and Lisl would love to share letters and pictures with their child's birthparent(s) through the agency or a private internet account, giving updates about their child to his/her birthparent(s). They are also open to visits at a neutral location with the birthparent(s). They believe the birthparents have the right to know the child is being raised by a good family and that he or she is growing and thriving.
