Profile: Kyle and Carrie

"We can’t begin to understand the courageous decision you have to make.  We promise your child will be thriving in our loving and supportive family ”

Our names are Kyle and Carrie. When we met 20 years ago, we fell in love instantly. We have been happily married for 15 years. For over ten years we tried to have a child on our own and also tried fertility treatments but were unable to get pregnant.  The process of trying to have a child of our own was long and difficult.  Throughout this time we had discussed adoption as an option to become parents.  So we started the adoption process and in 2014 were blessed with our daughter Olivia. The light of our life is wrapped up in Olivia whom we had waited for so long.  It’s our dream to adopt once more, so that Olivia can grow up with a sibling.  She is now 4 years old and ready to be a big sister.

Meet Kyle and Carrie

Carrie is a stay-at-home mom and loves every second of it.  With the amazing support of Kyle, Carrie has been able to quit her job to stay home and raise her family. Carrie also handles all of the day to day customer contact and bookkeeping for her and Kyle’s financially successful business.
Kyle is a self employed machinist and welder. He works full-time but has a flexible schedule.  He also farms with his grandpa. He is very dedicated to his work and his family.
Olivia is social, independent, inquisitive, smart and very kind.  She is a daddy’s girl!  She loves going to the park, zoo, swimming and being outside in general.
We are ready to welcome any child into our family regardless of gender or race.  To prepare, we’ve discussed this in great detail with our family and friends and have also attended the Transracial / Transcultural Training offered at the adoption agency.  Our friends and family are supportive and excited for us to grow our family.

Our Story

KYLE ON CARRIE

Carrie is a beautiful and caring woman.   She is hardworking, thoughtful and very easy-going.  She is the most amazing mother to our four-year-old daughter Olivia. She fills our house with love and laughter every day. She cherishes family and friends. I am truly proud to call her my wife.

CARRIE ON KYLE

Kyle is a wonderful husband and provider. His heart is filled with generosity and kindness. He is the most loving and attentive father. Every time he walks into the room Olivia lights up, she adores him just as much as I do. I am very proud of the man he is.

KYLE AND CARRIE'S FAMILY

We are lucky enough to live near our families. We plan lots of play dates with all of our nieces and nephew. Olivia has four cousins that are close in age and love to get into trouble together.  Once a week the whole family comes together for dinner.  Family traditions are very important to us.  Some of our favorite are Easter egg hunts, Carving pumpkins together, and baking Christmas cookies.

OUR HOME

We live on a six acre farm where there is plenty of space to run and play.  Olivia loves the freedom to explore the yard, barns and surrounding woods. If she is not swinging on the playset she can be found chasing one of our two dogs Kora and Roxie.  Our house is 150 year old farm house that used to be Kyle’s Grandparents. We enjoy doing remodeling projects together and completely renovated our house when we moved in 2 years ago. It is the perfect place for our family to play and grow together.

OUR COMMUNITY

We live in a small close-knit rural community.  It is the kind of community that the friends you make as a child grow into lifelong friendships.
