“Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as you pursue an adoption plan for your child.”
More than anything we want you to know that we will love your child unconditionally and will devote our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security and joy we can offer. We promise to provide an upbringing in which God is a central figure and values such as generosity, kindness and respect for others are taught every day.
Meet Mark and Heather
Our names are Mark and Heather. We met through mutual friends in 2001, set up on a blind date... little did we know we would fall in love and get married just a few years later! We compliment eachother well and most importantly, fill our days with laughter. Christ is the foundation of our relationship and we are centainly blessed. We both came from families that are very close, so we have always wanted more kids. Family is extremely important to us and we are so excited to expand ours!
Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Sceince in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University and now works as a Restaurant Manager. He enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, movies, and traveling.
Heather attended college at Indiana University in Bloomington, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She currently works as an Office Manager/Front Desk for Team Rehabilitations. She enjoys cooking, traveling, watching movies, and listening to music. As a couple they both enjoy travleing together, visiting with family, discovering new places with friends, and spending quality time together.
Mark and Heather have one son named Caleb and a dog named Teddy. They enjoy taking Caleb on vacations to Disney World, Gatlinburg, and Florida as a family. They can't wait to share their love and adventures with another child and expand their family.
MARK ON HEATHER
Heather is the best mommy ever; she is always taking care of our family and is the most selfless person I know. She is an outgoing, dedicated and uplifting person that has Christ as the center of her life. She is passionate about helping others in need and is always looking for ways to give back in the community. She loves our family and becomes the best cheerleader at different sports games and activities with us. She is the best cook and makes sure we eat more than just Mac n cheese and pizza. We love her dealy and are excited about expanding our family.
HEATHER ON MARK
Mark is the best Daddy ever! I admire so much about him. He is always up for adventure and makes life fun. He is caring, thoughtful, and has a heart for people. He's a good listener and his friends and family find comfort in that. He will support our kids in whatever their interests are, whether that means coaching a sports team, going to music recitals or playing dolls. Our kids will always be Mark's top priority! He leads our home with gentle strength as he seeks the Lord. He is selfless, always putting others above himself. Mark is the most gracious and patient person I know. These are qualities that make him such a wonderful Dad. Some of my favorite moments are watching him play with our son and laughing uncontrollably!
Mark has one older brother. His mother and step father live in Florida. His father passed away in 2016 to a brain hemorrage and seizures. Mark talks with his mother each week and visits her four times a year. Mark's family is excited to continue to support them in the adoption process!
Heather has two older siblings, a sister and a brother. Her sister is married with two children, and her brother is single living with no children. Heather's parents live in South Bend, IN. Heather continues to have a strong relationship with her parents. Heather's family is supportive and encouraging in this adoption process.
We live in a two-story home with a finished basement. It has 4 bedrooms on the second floor. We enjoy playing in the yard, going for walks, and winding down inside watching movies together. We live in a neigborhood that's focused on families being active in their children's schools, sports and churches.
We have some pretty awesome friends who pray with us, laugh with us, cry with us and make our lives so much fun! Family and Friends visit our home on a regular basis and out of town family spends the night when they visit.
Mark and Heather seek a semi-open adoption with letters and pictures exchanged through the adoption agency. They are open to the idea of a private website with pictures to provide for the birthparent(s). They are also open to visits at the agency, once a year, as a relationship is developed through adoption.
