“We will always respect your sacrifice, speak of you often to your child, and be loving parents”
We can't imagine how difficult it is to make an adoption plan. We hope that you'll have peace of mind knowing that we take the responsibility of parenting seriously and with great joy. We will always honor our commitments to you and speak of you often to your child. It's truly an act of faith to put your hopes and dreams for your child's future first and in another couple's hands.
Meet Matt and Emily
“In 2011, we met through mutual friends at a Cinco De Mayo Party. Matt accidentally hit my plate of nachos onto another person, and we spent the rest of the evening talking. The following day, Matt called me and from there we began dating over the next five years. We got married in 2016 and have been in a stable, loving, supportive relationship for 8 years.”
Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Art from the University of Michigan. Over three years ago, Matt started his own advertising company and works as a production specialist. Emily attended college at Indiana University in Bloomington receiving a Bachelor’s in Applied Health Science and is a Registered Dietitian. She received her Master’s in Nutrition from IUPUI. She currently does project management for the hospital’s quality department. Both enjoy their current careers.
In their free time, Matt enjoys golf, fishing, painting and drawing. Emily enjoys jogging, yoga, cooking and reading. Together, Matt and Emily enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, camping, traveling, home remodeling projects, eating out, and watching movies.
They enjoy spending time with their family and try to get together as often as possible. Family gatherings and holiday traditions are very important to Matt and Emily. Part of their family is their dog, Witt. He is like a first child to Matt and Emily. Witt and Emily are a therapy team and help children who are grieving a loss. Witt is a very loving addition to their family.

EMILY ON MATT
"Where's Matt?!" is the first thing our nephews and nieces say when we visit. Matt's fun-loving attitude attracts children. He is the type of uncle and family friend that children are always excited to see. He will be a very caring and involved Dad. Matt is practical, creative, can joke around, and is flexiable when plans don't work out. He is handy around our home and can fix or build nearly anything for our home.
Matt's family is very warm and welcoming. They make new people feel at home. Matt is fun loving and easy to talk to just like his family. Matt has an old brother and a younger sister. His older brother is married with two children. Matt's family lives two hours away, but we still see them frequently for large family gatherings. We are lucky that Matt's extended family also all lives in the Indiana/Michigan area. We are very close with Matt's siblings, we are all around the same age with similar interests. We put family first and love being a part of our nephews and nieces lives as they grow up.
Emily's parents live in town and are excited at the possibility of having another grandchild to love. Emily has one older brother who is married with three children in Illinois. We get together for holidays, birthdays and family vacations. For Christmas we all get together and decorate Emily's parent's house and play games with the kids! Emily's mom was adopted during a time when adoption was very secretive. Her experience helps show the value and the importance of being open and honest from the beginning.
Matt and Emily live in 2,100 sq. feet living space and have ¼ of an acre of land. They live near friends and family who visit their home on a regular basis and out of town family spend the night when they visit. They have all the space they need to be able to raise a child in their home.
We have a great community and relationship with our neighbors. We often have dinner with our neighbors.
Matt and Emily would like to have an open adoption. They believe it's important for the child and birth mother to have the ability to know about each other in a way that is comfortable for both groups. They plan on sending pictures and letters to give updates about their child to ensure the birth parents that their biological child is thriving, supported, and loved. They are open to having visits at the agency.
