“Every child is a gift from God...”
First, we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We know you are facing one of the most difficult decisions of your life and we want you to know we are thinking of you and praying for you. Every child is a gift from God, and we are so glad that you have chosen life for your child, whether you decide to raise your child or pick a family for him or her.
We have been blessed with 2 healthy and happy boys, Charlie and Mason. We have always wanted a large family. We both came from families of four children and would like to have the same for our family. Doctors have urged Lindsey not to carry any more children for the sake of her health. We took this news as a gift from God, letting us know it is our time to adopt. Matthew was adopted and we always knew that adoption is something we wanted to consider. We pray for his birth mother still today, as we will do the same for you.
Meet Matthew and Lindsey
Lindsey grew up in a small town with 3 sisters and her parents. She was very active in dancing and gymnastic classes. She danced and cheered in Middle and High School. Afterwards, she attended a university where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business management. Once she graduated, she went back home to marry her high school sweetheart, Matthew.
Matthew was born and raised in a small town as well. He grew up with his parents, and younger siblings. Him and his brother were both adopted. He remembers playing outside and exploring outside for days on end on his family many acres of property. He loved playing just about every sport there was to offer, keeping very active. His dad taught Matthew how to hunt and fish and they still enjoy spending time together outdoors. He now works with his family’s business with his father, brother and Lindsey.
After they had been married for five years, they had Charlie. Charlie is a GREAT big brother and one of the sweetest little boys you will ever meet. Charlie loves to play outside. He loves going anywhere outdoors with his brother and dad. He has a great imagination and loves to learn! He is now 5 years old.
Two years after they welcomed Charlie, they were blessed with Mason. Mason has a playful and kind personality. He loves to be doing whatever his big brother is doing. He looks up to him so much already. He is now 3 years old and we know Mason will follow in Charlie's footsteps to make a great big brother too. Charlie and Mason have so much fun together and can’t wait to have another sibling to join the fun!
MATTHEW ON LINDSEY
“Lindsey is socially outgoing, but less of a thrill seeker. She is also kind and strong. Our marriage has a strong foundation. We have a strong faith and similar views on major life choices as well as the same goals for life and family.”
LINDSEY ON MATTHEW
“Matthew is more reserved than myself, but still very much a people person. He loves to learn and talk with new people. We have a great balance in our marriage. Since we work together every day, we think it is important to still “date” each other. It makes us better parents, spouses, and friends. We keep Christ at the center of our marriage-our faith is so important to us and I think that strengthens our marriage tremendously.”
MATTHEW and LINDSEY'S FAMILY
“We are very close with our families. Our children see their grandparents weekly and aunts and uncles almost just as frequently. Our parents live just 10 minutes away from our home, so it makes it super easy for them to drop by and visit any time. Most of our brothers and sisters live just as close so visits from aunts, uncles, and cousin happen very often. Lindsey’s older sisters live just three hours away, but that doesn’t keep us from frequent visits, road trips and lots of Face Timing to say hello. Lindsey’s grandmother and Matthew’s grandpa and grandmother are all still living. They are between the ages of 83 and 93 and just as energetic as ever! They love seeing their great grandchildren and we see them quite often. We still get together with Matthew and Lindsey’s cousins, and aunts, and uncles around all the major holidays, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Between Matthew and Lindsey, we have 37 aunts and uncles and over 100 first cousins. We love having this huge family and this is a big reason for us wanting to have a large family as well. The family, food and fellowship we have is so wonderful. And we have that many more people in our lives to love us and our children.”
Matthew and Lindsey’s two-story home sits on 10 acres of land. They built their home in 2014, working alongside one another being involved in the design and build process. There is a huge yard for the kids to play in and a wooded area behind the house to explore. They converted the bonus room into a big play room for their kids. The home is only 10 minutes away from both sets of grandparents and is in a great school district.
Religion is very important to them as individuals and as a family. They participate in various activities at their parish. They feel lucky to have some awesome friends. They have had many of their friends since they were young and feel blessed to have gone through a journey with. Their friends are excited for all of the fun times ahead as their kids will start to make memories together.
Matthew and Lindsey are excited to grow their family through adoption. They are willing to share updates, pictures and letters.
Hobbies and Interests
“We love to travel. We have been very blessed to visit many places. We love to go to warm and tropical places but also love the mountains. Matthew has even been on a Safari in South Africa. Some of our favorite places are the Rockies in Colorado and the British Virgin Islands. One of our favorite trips with the boys was a trip we recently took to Disney World. The boys loved meeting Mickey and exploring all of the parks! ”
