Meet Robert and Jennifer
“We’ve been happily married since 2003. We have a strong marriage and friendship. Our marriage is built on trust and honesty. Besides being deeply in love with each other, we are also best friends. We are committed to a lifetime together, that is full of love and adventure. We were blessed with the adoption of Tytus in 2014. We are so humbled that we were chosen to be his parents. We are ready to grow our family again, through the miracle of adoption!”
Robert “Bob” graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor’s degree in science in 2006. He is currently working as a master electrician. Jennifer “Jen” received a Bachelor’s in elementary education from Anderson University in 2003. She has been in the elementary schools since 2003. Both Bob and Jen love their current jobs.
In their free time, Bob and Jen enjoy reading, traveling, and simply being together. Throughout the year they embark on many weekend adventures, often they take their nieces and nephews along for the ride. Their home is filled with love and laughter and they look forward to sharing their family traditions as well as creating new ones with their children.
Bob and Jen speak daily with their families and make constant efforts to grow the relationships in their lives. They enjoy time spent with family during cookouts and get-togethers. Their families get together often and their nieces and nephews and Tytus enjoy playing together. Holidays, birthdays, and special occasions are best when spent with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Bob and Jen are ready and prepared to welcome any child of any race into their family. They would like to have an open or semi-open adoption with letters and pictures sent through the agency to the birthparent(s). They are also open to visits at the agency as a relationship is developed with the birthparent(s).
BOB ON JEN
I have been married to Jennifer for 17 wonderful years. I would not change a single day. She is a terrific wife and mother to Tytus, and talks constantly about loving and providing for another child. She makes every effort to create special memories our family, whether it be for birthday, holidays, vacations, or just another day. I have never known anyone with as much love to give as her. She is as good a teacher as she is a mother and has touched many of her students’ lives. She is truly special and I am truly fortunate to call her my wife.
JEN ON BOB
Bob is an amazing man. I fell in love with him the very moment I met him. He is strong, kind, loyal, and honest. Most people find Bob to be quiet and reserved, but he’s hilarious. He makes me laugh every day. He is not only my best friend, but the best person. He would do anything for his family. He is a wonderful Dad, he and Tytus have a very special bond. Bob tells Tytus that he can be anything in life and that he’ll always be there to support him. Not a day goes by that Bob doesn’t tell Tytus or I how much he loves us, both. He is quick to say how proud he is to be my husband and Tytus’s Dad. Bob says we are a team, and that’s exactly how our family feels.
BOB AND JEN'S FAMILY
Family has always been very important to Bob. Bob grew up with three siblings, two sisters and a brother, and both of his parents. Even though, both of his parents are deceased. Bob still sees his siblings on a regular basis and finds it comforting to know that they are always there for him when he needs them. Family is also very important to Jen. She grew up in a stable home with both of her parents and her younger sister. Her parents showed her how to be strong and independent. Her parents live close by and she treasures the times she spends with them. Jen and her sister talk daily and her parents several times throughout the week. Bob and Jen’s family can’t wait for another child to join their family.
Bob and Jen’s home is located in a friendly neighborhood just minutes from the elementary, junior high, and high school. Their neighborhood is safe, and they often take walks to the local park. Their home has a fenced in yard, perfect for safe play, backyard campouts and star gazing. They also have a cozy nursery set up that is perfect for a baby boy or girl. They also have two dogs.
Our community is diverse and family oriented. There are parks, playgrounds, and a community center just a few minutes away from our home. We enjoy walking our dogs, riding our bikes and trips to the local ice cream shop. Living close to a major city we also include adventures to the zoo, museums, ball games and historical sites.
Bob and Jen have a positive view on the future for their child. They plan to send pictures and letters giving updates about their child to his/her birth parents. They feel this is something they can do for their child to provide a loving trust with their child and ensure the birth parent their biological child is growing and thriving in a loving, supportive and encouraging family. They are also open to visits at the agency.
