Giving Birth to Hope Fundraiser

The year 2020 has been quite a whirlwind for all of us.  Times are uncertain and the unknown has caused stress and anxiety, but we continue to bring HOPE.  Through this pandemic, St. Elizabeth | Coleman has continued providing services to our clients because social work is essential.  Our programs and services are essential to the community and the people we serve.

We've modified our service delivery to uphold the highest standards of safety.  Women faced with an unplanned pregnancy can receive Pregnancy and Adoption Counseling via phone, email or text messages.  Our wonderful Adoption Counselor, Shamia, is available 24/7 to answer any questions, offer support, information, compassion, resources, guidance, and help.  Even though we are in the midst of a pandemic, women still need help from pregnancy centers, such as St. Elizabeth | Coleman.  Our mission, just like our work, goes on.  We strive to bring hope to those that need it the most.  We are here for our clients to assist them in their decision making, whether it is parenting the child themselves or selecting an adoptive couple https://www.givingbirthtohope.org/adoptive-couples-profiles.  We've never liked the phrase "giving a child up for adoption", especially in these times, our clients are not "giving up".  They are strong, courageous women, who are facing difficult life circumstances.  They come to us not because they are giving up.  They come to us to make a plan!  We are honored to walk by their side during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Our agency's monthly parent support group continues to be held at our agency - socially distant.  Mothers still need emotional support and material donations.  Our phenomenal social worker, Cheryl, continues to share community resources and information to help mothers feel equipped and confident in their parenting skills.  https://www.givingbirthtohope.org/parenting

Domestic https://www.givingbirthtohope.org/domestic-adoption-services and International Adoption Services https://www.givingbirthtohope.org/international-adoption-overview have been shifted to Virtual Meetings, Emails and Phone Calls.  Even though we are in the midst of a pandemic, families still experience infertility and they long to become parents.  Our social workers are able to conduct socially-distant home visits and virtual post-adoption visits.  Trainings and Education Sessions are either held virtually or within a safe and socially-distant environment.

In difficult times we need hope, encouragement, and support.  St. Elizabeth | Coleman continues to assist clients during this pandemic and beyond.

We appreciate and are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from our donors.  Donations are still being dropped off at our agency, so that we can share them with mothers and children in need.  Monetary donations are being send to our agency via our safe online giving option. https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=3d0811
